Size does matter...
When selecting a bamboo for the diameter, consider your proposed use. If you want to make cups, pencil holders, etc., you will need a bamboo that is 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches in diameter. If you plan to make napkin rings, then select one that will max out at 1 1/4 inches. Regardless of the diameter, you will find many uses for your bamboo poles.
