Phyllostachys bambusoides 'Marliac' bamboo is a form of bambusoides with numerous longitudinal grooves running the length of each internode on all sides of the culm. The culms are used for flower vases, plant pots, tea articles and numerous other craft projects. "Marliac" was first introduced into the U.S. in 1902 by David Fairchild.
