Phyllostachys heteroclada Solidstem

Previously Phyllostachys purpurata 'solidstem.' Similar to the species except culms are solid, or nearly solid, below. Can grow in wetter areas than most bamboos. This bamboo makes an excellent screen. Shoots are edible.
