The nodes of Phyllostachys nidularia 'farcta' are more prominent than those of most other bamboos. The culms are solid or nearly so. Shoots are edible and culms are used for tools. Common name is Solid Broom Bamboo. In cultivation in the U.S. since the 1990's.
